Yesterday, two key initiatives were officially announced:
• combating drug addiction
• establishing appropriate training conditions for injured and disabled athletes.
Thousands of athletes have already joined the “Sports Community for a Healthy Generation” initiative. Our distinguished athletes—Arthur Aleksanyan, Varazdat Lalayan, Malkhas Amoyan, Hripsime Khurshudyan, and others—have united to set a positive example for youth and to contribute to preventing the spread of this serious threat nationwide. A healthy generation is essential for Armenia’s national security and for upholding our national dignity.
This unification of the sports community represents a new and promising beginning, expected to lead to greater sporting achievements, while the announced initiatives will be implemented in the best interests of the Republic of Armenia.
