Gagik Tsarukyan met with the Armenian Community of Kuwait.
"I've heard a lot about you, Mr. Tsarukyan, and learnt that you made huge investments to develop sports in your country. After our first meeting, I realized that we have much in common. We're both willing to do anything for the sake of our country's development. I am very happy and proud that I found a good colleague and friend like you."
During the meeting, Gagik Tsarukyan invited Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad to visit Armenia in September. Sheikh gladly accepted the invitation.
After the official part of his visit Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah invited Gagik Tsarukyan to host in his home. According to Arabian tradition this kind of invitation is the culmination of hospitality, when the most prominent guests are hosted at the house. After the dinner in honor of Gagik Tsarukyan the two sports leaders discussed the next steps in more relaxed atmosphere. Note that Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al Sabahi and Gagik Tsarukya first have met in Rome in November of last year. In their first meeting the parties have found many common features and decided to reinforce their cooperation, which has been turned into a friendship.
Welvoming the Kuwaiti Armenians Gagik Tsarukyan noticed that he is one of them and is ready to assist them in everything, to do his best to support the preservation process, and overcome the existing problems.
Gagik Tsarukyan obviously did not come empty-handed. He donated textbooks, famous Armenian writers books and Armenian classical music CDs to Kuwaiti National School.
School Administration highly appreciated the attention Gagik Tsarukyan paid to them and presented him a symbolic souvenir.
After visiting the Armenian National College Gagik Tsarukyan also attended the Kuwait's St. Vartanants Church. There was a pleasant surprise waiting for the Armenian community. Gagik Tsarukyan presented the church a silver cross.
Gagik Tsarukyan had also meetings with members of the Diocesan Assembly in Kuwait National Primacy. The meeting was attended by the Patriarchal Vicar of the Diocese presented by V. Rev. Fr. Masis Ts. Rev. Zopuyane, Diocesan Representative Assembly and National Board members. Representatives of unions operating in the community. Although this was the first meeting with the community, but they were well aware of the country's prosperity and strengthening.
At the end of the meeting Gagik Tsarukyan once again urged the Kuwaiti Armenians to visit Armenia frequently visited by strengthening the Motherland-Diaspora ties.
